The Outstanding Student Paper Award for the best student paper published in AGA's Journal of Heredity includes a cash prize of $2,000.
Articles from Volume 116, 2025 will be considered for 2026 recognition. Recipients receive:
- $2,000 cash prize
- Up to $1,500 toward expenses to attend the President's Symposium
- A certificate recognizing their achievement
Did you publish in Journal of Heredity this past year? The AGA Council reviews all student-first-authored articles published in the most recent volume of the Journal of Heredity to select the winner of this prestigious award.
The award recognizes outstanding research by student authors and is one of the ways the American Genetic Association supports the next generation of geneticists and genomicists.
